Airport capacity planning
Several studies were carried out at UK and overseas airports to assess capacity accurately and allocate slots impartially. This involves an evaluator, the airport operator, air traffic control, airlines and an independent coordinator. It takes account of runway capacity and runway occupancy which depend on the mix of aircraft types.
